Hidcote

We visited Hidcote Gardens which were in the final flush of summer colour. Created over thirty years from an unpromising patch of farmland, they are a testament to one man's plant collecting trips and vision to see the flaura collected combined into a stunning 20th Century garden. 'Floating' parades of flowers set off against the house or the many garden 'rooms' walled by yew hedges, looked fantastic. On the way home we passed through honey coloured cotswold stone villages and called at Chipping Campden.
