Taking a fast ferry from Circular Quay, we lunched at Watson's Bay. The coastal path led around past the nudist beach at Lady's Bay, to the South Head of the entrance to Sydney harbour. As this is Australia, the space between the two headlands is called "The Gap". Past the old lighthouse and back to catch a bus to Bondi Beach, which was absolutely heaving with new year holiday crowds.
From Bondi, the coast path led South again past Tamarama and on to Bronte. We left the surfers and found our way home. In the evening we fed a possum and her baby in the garden.
