I joined the 'social' Falmouth Wheelers for a ride in misty rain to Gweek and then on to Helston for coffee (meeting the 'serious' group there). We then headed NE to The Star Inn at Porkellis in the heart of the old Wendron mining district. The pub is also the community library but instead of books we refuelled on pasties, sausages and roast potatoes before heading back.
