The Blooming End Of October

Unbelievably, the bottlebrush has decided to flower again, despite it nearly being November! Nearby, a Camellia has joined in. We are looking forward to a full 12 months at our new garden in this very mild corner of the country, just to see what else pops up.

The North Coast

Hannah and Tom arrived for a long weekend at Crantock and we met up for a coastal walk to Holywell Bay. We stopped to admire Atlantic Grey Seals frolicking in the froth. Later we ate chips at Newquay Harbour, watching the evening surfers.

Kernow

We've finally arrived! Wonderfully assisted by Simo and Claud who helped load, convey and unload belongings, we 'landed' in our new home. We rushed down tho The Harbour Lights for excellent fish and chips to celebrate arrival.
The next day we enjoyed the sunshine and had a 'day off', finishing with a meal in the atmospheric Pandora Inn at Restronguet Creek. We spent most of our first week sorting out the house, meeting the neighbours and enjoying nice walks and a SUP session.
One amazing evening, we walked to our local water and savoured a full moon and scudding clouds over a high tide, making for some amazing images.

Getting Off Our Land

We went out for coffee and then climbed Leckhampton to survey 'The Shire' ahead of our move seawards. In the evening Tim cooked up a wonderful chicken in lemon special, followed by 'Christine's' blackberries. Thanks Tim, we love your company and your friendship. We are going to miss all of our lovely pals here.
